Originally from New England, Cacie Miller holds degrees in piano and music theory from the Eastman School of Music, Houghton College, and the University of Southern Maine. Her piano playing stems from an overactive imagination, and was shaped by studies with William Heiles, Rebecca Penneys, Dolores Gadevsky, and Robert Glover.
She has held positions at colleges and in churches in the New York and Chicago areas. Currently, she serves as music director and organist at United Lutheran Church in Oak Park, and maintains a private piano studio for all ages and levels of piano learning in Oak Park, IL. She is nearing the end of her DMA studies at UIUC in Piano Performance and Literature, with a cognate in Performance Practice.
She has performed recently with the UISO (Bartok Concerto No. 3), and in festivals in Illinois, Puerto Rico and Acqui Terme, Italy.
